Library Homepage - The virtual, electronic McConnell Library is located on the World Wide Web at lib.radford.edu. This online library is filled with books, journals, magazines, and newspapers as well as databases, statistical information and many other information sources available for your use. The library Website also contains many resources and links to people and information that are available to help you find and use the resources available.

Library Catalog - The click to see Library Catalog link connects to the library catalog which contains records for the books, journals, magazines, newspapers, DVD's, CD's, videocassettes, and other kinds of resources that are part of the library's collection. In addition, the catalog connects to the "Journal Finder (journals, magazines, and newspapers)" page which lists full-text copies of periodicals available either in the library or through electronic databases or resources available through the library web page. Other connections through the Library catalog link include a site where you can locate course reserves in either paper or electronic format and a site where you can check your library record and renew library books online.

Find Articles & More - The click to see Find Articles & More link provides access to the more than 200 electronic resources and databases provided through McConnell Library. You can search for databases by subject or alphabetically by the name of the individual database. This link also contains a “Shortcuts” section that includes information on APA and MLA citations, information on using EndNote, a section on how to find full text articles from citations or abstracts, and other guides.

Course Reserves - The link allows students to access information about materials for assignments placed on reserve by professors. Some materials are available online. Under this link, faculty can also request items be placed on reserve. click to see Find Articles & More
Interlibrary Loan - The click to see InterLibrary Loan link connects to the library's interlibrary loan service. This service will find and obtain library resources such as books and periodical articles that are not available in McConnell Library.

The first time you use Interlibrary Loan, you will have to create your own account. After that, you will just login and submit your requests online. Interlibrary Loan services are free to all Radford students, faculty, and staff.

Information & Services - click to see Information & Services The link provides information about specific services for students and faculty, links to new items the library has purchased, information about the Harvey Center, and information about the University Archives.

Services for students includes information about checkout procedures, reserves, reference services, and more.

How Do I...? - The link will bring you to a list of frequently asked questions about library resources and services.  

Extended Campus - provides information for faculty and students located off site, in Roanoke, Abington, and other distance education campuses.
