Adaptive Devices

The following equipment is available for use on Level 4. Patrons who need assistance with this equipment may contact the Front Desk on Level 3 in person or by using the intercom phone located near the elevator on Level 4.

• Reading Edge Kurzweil Readers, which convert print into voice for individuals who are visually impaired or have learning disabilities. One machine is available for checkout.
• Print text enlargers
• VIEW workstation (Visually Impaired Educational Workstation), including

  • screen reading software
  • screen magnification
  • Braille printer
  • scanner and Kurzweil text-to-voice software
