How do I renew my books?
Many library materials, including books, may be renewed one time. Items may be renewed either by phone (831-5364), in person, or online. Equipment and Reserves may not be renewed.

If you have not viewed your Circulation record or renewed items before, here are instructions:

From McConnell Library's home page click on Library Catalog and then click on My Record. RU students, faculty and staff: enter your RU username and password. Public (non-RU) patrons enter: your name, complete barcode and PIN. When your name and address display, click on the Checked Out Items icon. You should now see the list of materials checked out to you. Click on the white box beside each item you wish to renew, then click on Renew Selected. If you wish to renew all of your materials, click on Renew All. Be sure to check the status of each item you selected to renew. The item status should be RENEWED and you should see a new due date. If your items were not renewed, you will see a message indicating why the items were not renewed, such as too many renewals, registration has expired, registration/diploma block, etc. You may renew items one time as long as a hold has not been placed on the item (no renewals allowed on equipment and Reserves).

If your items were not successfully renewed, please call the Front Desk staff at 831-5364 or email frontdesk@radford.edu for assistance.
