

| Robert J. Young's career at Radford College began as an
Instructor in "Commercial Education" in the 1938-1939 academic
year. Young replaced Jeremy Whitt temporarily as Registrar during the 1950-51
academic year. He was appointed to the new post of Dean of Instruction in
1952, a
position he served in until August, 1966.
He had received a Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University and a Master of Arts degree from the Teachers College at Columbia University. In 1952, he was appointed to the new post of Dean of Instruction and served in that post until August, 1966. Young Hall is named in his honor. |
