Unveiling of Portrait
of David Wilbur Peters

The portrait of David Wilbur Peters, second president of Radford University, was unveiled in the John Preston McConnell Library on October 28, 1949.   The portrait first hung in what is now the library vestibule on the west wall (near the present-day handicap access elevator).  The portrait now hangs in the Circulation Hall of McConnell Library to the left of the Radford Rooms.  (Click here to view the portrait  or to read the article from the Grapurchat student newspaper which describes the dedication ceremonies.
