(ca. 1915)

The Auditorium in Founders Hall was used for several purposes.  In the early days of the school, President McConnell or someone he delegated would lead students in a daily assembly which included music as indicated by the two pianos on the stage.  Outside speakers were also invited to address the students on occasion   The set-up in this picture would also suggest that the auditorium was used for classroom lectures in home economics.
