GRAPURCHAT


The Grapurchat was the first school newspaper published from 1921 until 1978 when it changed names to the Tartan.  "The first two syllables of the word Grapurchat are formed from the colors of the Normal School, [as Radford University was then called], GRAy and PURple. CHAT makes a very appropriate ending." (Volume 1 no. 1 p. 1 January 27, 1921).


There is a Summary Table  that allows one to go to a specific volume of the Grapurchat and to see which volumes have scanned issues online.  The Index consists of highlights of most issues of the Grapurchat including some that were lost and have not been preserved in our bound copies of the Grapurchat or on microfilm.  To find a specific item, use the brower's search feature and look for the key word.  To print an issue click on Print Issue in the date column.  You will need to use Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or above in order to print.  You can get that by clicking :
