| George Russell, also known simply as AE, was an Irish poet, essayist, editor, journalist, dramatist, and novelist. AE came to Radford on March 13, 1931, as part of a nationwide tour to speak on "The Upbuilding of Rural Civilization." Records in the Radford University Archives state that Dean Moffett and Dr. McConnell were in charge of general arrangements for AE's visit to the Radford campus. |
