Heth House

| Once the La Belle Inn was full to capacity, the college
rented a home belonging to the Heth family. The Heth family had
called it Norwood but after 1913 it was generally referred to as "Heth
House". According to Moffett's History, the house
"is somewhat Victorian in design. The rooms are very large
fully 20 x 30 feet." The house featured a central hall for
receiving guests with a high rotunda ceiling.
The picture of the home's interior is from the Radford State Teachers College Bulletin for the 1934-1935 academic year. |
