| Even though Radford Normal was not officially affiliated with any religious group, President McConnell was a devout Christian and saw to the formation of a Young Women's Christian Association chapter as one of the first organizations in the school in addition to the Ingles and Pocahontas Literary Societies. Below is the 16-page syllabus for study of the Bible cosponsored by the YWCA and the Radford Normal School. |
