Since the first year that students came to Radford they have published an annual yearbook, with some breaks in publication due to World War I and the Great Depression. The Radnor, Radford's first yearbook, was published from 1914 to 1917 and stopped publication due to war rationing in World War I. An annual yearbook emerged again in 1925, when The Beehive began publication. It ran from 1925 to 1929, then ceased publication from 1930-37 due to the Great Depression. Resuming publication in 1938 The Beehive was published in print up to 2005, when it began to be published as a video yearbook on DVD for a few years, then as a print magazine.
