This is one of the few formal pictures taken of the Radford State Normal School's faculty and administrators.  President John Preston McConnell, in the center is flanked by Dr. M'Ledge Moffett, Dean of Women/Director of Home Economics on his  right and by Jeremy Pate Whitt,  Registrar of the school from 1920 to 1951 and Acting President following the presidencies of McConnell and of David Wilbur Peters.  The words "1926 or 1925" are written on the back of the photograph in Dr. Moffett's handwriting.
