Historical NoteThe appointment of John Preston McConnell as the first president of the newly established State Normal and Industrial School for Women at Radford was one of the first decisions made by the School's Board of Trustees at their first meeting on October 3, 1911. Since that time five other individuals have served as president, including Penelope W. Kyle, the sixth, and current, president. Scope and Content NoteRecord Group 2 is currently comprised of 5 series, reflecting the chronological order of succession of the five presidents of Radford College/Radford University. Their names, years of service and location in the Radford University Archives filing scheme are listed below.
